François Auque is appointed Chairperson of VividQ Board of Directors

VividQ is delighted to announce the appointment of François Auque as Chairperson of its Board of Directors. François joined the Board and officially assumed the Chairman role during a Board meeting at VividQ’s London headquarters earlier this week.

François is a Partner at InfraVia Capital, a leading independent European private equity firm specialising in infrastructure and technology investments. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Rexel, a Paris-headquartered wholesale electrical distributor, and CyberArk, a publicly traded information security company.

On VividQ’s Board, François joins VividQ CEO and Co-Founder Darran Milne and Investor Directors Cian Hughes of Sure Valley Ventures, Noriaki Sakamoto of University of Tokyo Edge Capital (UTEC), and Mikio Kawahara of UTokyo IPC.

“I am amazed by VividQ’s breakthrough technology and the stamina of the team, supported by first-class investors. VividQ brings a holographic revolution which will change the game in many industries”, François shared upon accepting the role.

In the past, François has held several roles at world-leading technology and aerospace organisations and was a member of Airbus Group’s Executive Committee for 16 years, holding the positions of CEO of the Airbus Space Division and Chairman of Airbus Ventures, the venture capital arm of Airbus. Prior to that, François served as Chief Financial Officer of Aerospatiale-Matra, one of the three founding firms of the European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company (EADS).

Darran Milne, VividQ CEO, said: “The management team and I are exceptionally pleased to welcome François as Chairperson of the Board. His vast depth of experience in dealing with large corporations along with his knowledge as an investor in deep tech startups will be pivotal to our success as we grow VividQ.”

François holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commercials, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration from the Paris Institute of Political Studies, and a graduate in economics from Ecole Nationale d’ Administration. He will support VividQ in bringing its cutting-edge solutions for Computer-Generated Holography to the next generation of augmented reality (AR) devices for mass consumer adoption, unlocking high-performance applications in AR gaming, entertainment and the Metaverse for the first time.
